MIDWEST AIRCRAFT PROPELLERS, Inc., is your one-stop source for McCauley’s “BLACKMAC” Performance Conversion. To date, literally thousands of pilots have discovered that more blades, newer blade designs, and newer technology can equal increased performance and dependability. For many aircraft, a propeller conversion is one of the most significant improvements that can be made.
Advancements in propeller design can directly address performance areas such as takeoff distance, rate of climb, internal and external noise levels, and vibration. Benefits can also include improved ground clearance, longer overhaul intervals, elimination of Airworthiness Directives, elimination of tachometer placards, a new propeller warranty, increased safety, and improved appearance. Installation of newer technology “threadless” propellers with one-piece hub designs can provide long-term reductions in overhaul costs, downtime during overhauls, and extended TBOs. On certain aircraft, a switch to a prop with more blades will even provide greater flexibility in selecting effective power settings, as well as improved drag characteristics that are helpful for fast descents.
McCAULEY’S “BLACKMAC” Performance Conversion includes STC'd applications for Beechcraft, Cessna, Dehaviland, Mooney, Navion, Piper, and other general aviation aircraft. All “BLACKMAC” Performance Conversions sold by MIDWEST AIRCRAFT PROPELLERS, Inc., include McCauley’s 3-year total warranty and the MIDWEST AIRCRAFT PROPELLERS' record of always standing 100% behind the work we do.
Remember, McCauley’s “BLACKMAC” pilots enjoy the longest TBO standards in the industry, up to 2,400 hours/6 years for piston and 4,000 hours/6 years for turbine driven aircraft. These kits also include new mirror finished aluminum alloy spinner assemblies. Two-blade to two-blade conversions are also available to replace obsolete propellers.
